Also I think it gets passed over because it’s not a title track and the whole “I am not” album as I mentioned before doesn’t get talked about much anyway. I think the reason a lot of people pass over the song is because it’s so aggressive so I think it can get a little lost within some of their other less aggressive songs. It’s a very bold track and for it to be written and produced by people in their early 20’s and by rookies at that only further sets it apart in the best way. I also think the song stands out quite rebelliously in the kpop world with the lyrics alone, but also because of what I’d classify it as being a straight alternative rock song. It fits the album exceptionally well and serves as a good reflection to the growth they have in their future album narratives. This song is raw, aggressive, and emotional. This is why I like and related to this song so much, because it perfectly exemplifies the conflict within oneself that many people face. Which made me confused and angry, because I just wanted to know myself and be happy. As someone who was extremely depressed for a long time and still coping with it I felt sad over myself and life because I didn’t know who I was or what my purpose is. Then the members are all yelling at themselves to wake up from this nightmare and see the reality of themselves which is the cruel reality of not knowing who they are. He’s angry and confused over himself and why he would feel this way in the first place. It builds quickly with drums going off in the background in anticipation then the members begin singing with strong, but emotionally charged voices seeming to yell over their inner conflict of not knowing who they are. Chorus So when the skies open up and you. Onlooker, can’t you see It’s only a matter of time. Perfectly mixing with Felix words of feeling lost. When all else has been washed away and you can’t escape these thoughts that you have made. Credits Unfortunately were not authorized to show these lyrics. Find the lyrics for Safe Haven by Awaken I Am on. Starts off with Felix saying “I don’t feel so good somethings wrong” then the electric guitar comes in with a melancholy tone Find the lyrics for Safe Haven by Awaken I Am on. Which sucks because it’s my favorite song off the album and favorite Stray kids song in general.

I never see Awaken in Stray Kids playlist or even hear about anyone remotely talk about it. In fact I’d argue that the whole “I am not” album gets passed over quite a lot save for slight reminiscing over District 9.
